ASU Online: Top-ranked degree programs that prepare for career success

In 2025, Arizona State University’s online degree programs continue to be nationally recognized across multiple disciplines by U.S. News and World Report. Plus, the university has again been ranked as the No. 2 public U.S. university for employable graduates in the most recent Global Employability University Ranking and Survey.

ASU Online again ranks among the nation’s best online degree programs

At ASU Online, our mission to improve academic quality and accessibility to all students has yielded notable success from the beginning. With more than 300 degree and certificate offerings, there’s a program for nearly every desired career path, passion or interest.

This year, U.S. News & World Report recognized three online master’s programs from the Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation as being #1 in their respective category. The Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering was also recognized for having the nation’s best online master’s in electrical engineering program.

Additionally, our continued commitment to student success, immersive learning and constant innovation has led to being ranked in the top 10 best online bachelor’s programs.

Highlights from the 2025 U.S. News and World Report rankings:

Business

In addition to the No. 2 spot for online bachelor's degrees in business, the W. P. Carey School of Business' online graduate program in business (non-MBA) also ranked No. 3 and the online MBA program was ranked in the top 10.  It also ranked among the top 10 nationally within the following specialty areas for the online MBA:

  • No. 3 best online MBA in general management programs
  • No. 4 best online MBA in business analytics programs
  • No. 6 best online MBA  in marketing programs
  • No. 6 best online MBA in finance programs

Criminal justice

The Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions was ranked in the top 10 nationally for its online master’s degree in criminal justice.

Education

Ranked in the top 10 nationally for overall education graduate programs, the Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation also ranked in the top three in the following specialty categories:

Engineering

ASU’s Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering ranked in the top 15 nationally for its online graduate engineering programs received top 10 rankings in three specialty categories:

  • No. 4 best online master's in education programs for veterans

  • No. 6 best online master’s in criminal justice for veterans
  • No. 7 best online master’s in engineering programs for veterans
  • No. 13 best online master’s in nursing programs for veterans
