The finance area of emphasis guides you down a path that equips you with knowledge of financial theories and the concepts and analytical techniques necessary for managing business strategically.

International business

This area of emphasis allows you to choose between off-site international travel locations or courses 100% online. The international business area of emphasis enhances your understanding of international business practices and allows you to immerse in a new culture. Additional program fees and travel costs are required for off-site electives.


This area of emphasis blends marketing strategy with services marketing and management. The marketing area of emphasis covers cutting-edge marketing techniques that will prepare you to work on strategic marketing initiatives in a variety of fast-paced business environments. ASU Online MBA requirements

Applicants must fulfill the requirements of both the Graduate College and the W. P. Carey School of Business.

Applicants are eligible to apply to the program if they have earned a bachelor's or master's degree from a regionally accredited institution.

Applicants must have a minimum of a 3.00 cumulative GPA (scale is 4.00 = "A") in the last 60 hours of a student's first bachelor's degree program, or applicants must have a minimum of a 3.00 cumulative GPA (scale is 4.00 = "A") in an applicable master's degree program.

All applicants must submit:

  1. Graduate admission application and application fee
  2. Official transcripts
  3. GMAT or GRE test scores
  4. Two letters of recommendation
  5. Current resume
  6. Short-answer questions
  7. Proof of English proficiency

Additional Application Information

An applicant whose native language is not English (regardless of current residency) must provide proof of English proficiency.

Letters of recommendation should comment on the student's motivation, commitment, achievements, work experience and opportunity for success in the program.
