At Arizona State University, we understand that every online student has a unique story, which is why our suite of personalized support services is designed to fit your specific background, online learning schedule and style. With a wide range of student success services, you’ll be able to reach your goals at ASU Online and beyond.

 

What support can I expect to receive as an incoming ASU Online student?

When you're in the early steps of applying and enrolling to ASU Online, you'll work with an enrollment coach and financial aid counselor. Here’s what they do with you:

  • Enrollment coach

Supporting you as you begin your journey at ASU Online, your enrollment coach guides you through the application and enrollment process. Some of the many ways your enrollment coach can assist you include:

  • Discussing your program of interest and long term goals to make sure the degree is the right fit.
  • Helping you understand admission requirements, how online classes work, payment options and application steps such as ordering transcripts, paying the application fee and completing your FAFSA.
  • Making sure you’re aware of pending tasks holding up your application and troubleshooting if there are any issues or abnormal timelines. 
  • Review My ASU with you and assist in setting up your ASU Gmail account.
  • Making sure you’re aware of important milestones such as orientation and ordering books before the start of classes.

 

  • Financial aid counselor

Your financial aid counselor is here to help you navigate every aspect of your finances. Your financial aid counselor can be contacted in person, over the phone or through live chat to assist you with a wide range of topics, such as the FAFSA, scholarships, grants, loans and more.

What support can I expect to receive during the academic year?

ASU Online provides year-round support to enrolled students, offering guidance on legal, financial, educational and personal matters 24/7. ASU Online is also proud to offer individualized support for:

  • Academic advisor

Your academic advisor is here to ensure you stay on track for graduation. Academic advisors are there to assist you with setting a timeline to graduation, choosing classes for upcoming semesters, adding minors and certificates, switching majors and more.

Your success coach is here to check in with you throughout the academic year, connect you with relevant resources and provide support as you reach your goals while managing time and stress. Connect with your success coach in person, over the phone, by email or Slack.

 

Are there resources available to me after graduation?

Yes! We’ll be here to support you post graduation by providing access to career advising and job information. You’ll also have the opportunity to attend alumni events and stay connected to the university through networking events, social outings, community service opportunities and more.

Counseling services for ASU Online students
