Upon graduating from this program, you’ll be prepared for careers in public, corporate and governmental accounting or personal financial planning and portfolio analysis.

Will I become a CPA upon earning this degree?

 

No, Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) must be certified through their state’s accountancy board. However, this program does prepare you to sit for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification and the Certified Management Accountant (CMA®) certification.

The skills you’ll gain in this bachelor’s in accounting

 

This program explores authentic business processes and strategies, including the latest software and technologies. In your courses, you’ll study database analysis, financial reporting and analysis, federal income taxation and ways to use accounting data for internal decision making processes. You’ll also gain a range of transferable skills, such as:

No, Arizona State University’s diplomas don’t specify whether you earn your degree online or in person. All diplomas and transcripts simply say “Arizona State University.”
