Can I become an accountant with this degree?

 

The undergraduate accountancy program will help prepare you to sit for Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification and Certified Management Accountant (CMA®) certification.

CPAs must be certified through their state’s accountancy board. You can learn more about your state’s certification requirements by visiting the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy website.

The CMA certification is approved and sponsored by Institute of Certified Management Accountants (ICMA). Learn more about the requirements for the CMA certification.

This program will also prepare you for jobs in corporate and managerial accounting.

Will my accounting degree say 'online'?

No, Arizona State University’s diplomas don’t specify whether you earn your degree online or in person. All diplomas and transcripts simply say “Arizona State University.” That’s because ASU Online students learn from the same faculty and receive the same course content as in-person students receive.
