Businesses and companies involving insurance, banking, and health care have to adhere to numerous laws and regulations to stay within compliance of said laws and regulations. To ensure that these businesses and companies are remaining within compliance, they are developing compliance departments that assure the organization is meeting the requirements of the laws and regulations.
Compliance departments are tasked with interpreting these laws and regulations that impact the business or company, making policies and procedures that adhere to these standards, and keeping and maintaining reporting mechanisms that track necessary data for the business or company to demonstrate that the function of a compliance department is being taken seriously. Not surprisingly, compliance-related jobs are currently one of the hottest job growth areas in the U.S. The ASU Online Master of Legal Studies degree with a focus in Corporate and Health Care Compliance is designed to help guide their career to a compliance-related area or compliance professionals looking to take their careers to a new level.
