Podcasts have become increasingly popular over the past few years. You know the saying “there’s an app for that”; well nowadays, it’s shifted to “there’s a podcast for that." There’s a show on just about anything and everything! I am subscribed to a handful of podcasts, but there are a few I’ve really been obsessed with lately that really motivate, inspire, educate and entertain me!

One of my favorite podcasts of all time is “The Skinny Confidential” with Lauryn Evarts and Michael Bosstick. This podcast is so inspiring to me as a young entrepreneur because both Lauryn and Michael are entrepreneurs themselves who run a full-blown social media business and podcast network. Each week they interview someone who inspires them! They also talk about how to be more efficient with your time, how to work smart, and maximize productivity. This is my go-to show to listen to when I want to be inspired and motivated to work hard for my career.

Another podcast I look forward to listening to every week is “What We Said” with Jaci Marie Smith and Chelsey Jade Curtis. This podcasted is hosted by two girls who are best friends, which I love! The dynamic is so fun! It feels like you’re sitting chatting right alongside them about all thing’s skincare, beauty, health, and fitness. They also interview other influencers, reality stars, and even have their husbands on the show every now and then. If you want a lighthearted, fun podcast to listen to, this is the perfect show!

A podcast I love that’s on the opposite end of the spectrum is the “Mile Higher Podcast” with Kendall Rae and Josh Thomas. They are a husband and wife who talk about current world events, true crime stories, conspiracy theories, technology, and the environment. I listen to this podcast to stay woke and for pure entertainment!

The last podcast on my current rotation is “The Armchair Expert” with Dax Sheppard and Monica Padman. Each week they interview someone who works in entertainment such as actors, comedians, and musicians. It’s basically a therapy session where Dax and Monica dive deep into their interviewee’s childhood upbringing, work history, personal struggles, and successes. I love their genuine interest in the human connection. It’s also so cool to learn things that you can’t google about celebrities!

Podcasts are one of my guilty pleasures I look forward to every week. They are great to throw on while you’re cleaning your dorm or apartment, or while driving to work. These are my top four favorite shows right now that I never miss! If you have any podcast recommendations for different shows I should listen to shoot me a DM on Instagram @cicilyboone!
