Hi all! The first week of school is already over, how crazy! I’m excited to be back and working hard after a long nine-day summer break. Believe it or not, I missed homework and sticking to a strict schedule.
Getting back into the swing of things can be hard, especially if you don’t prepare yourself. The first thing I did to prepare for the semester was buy myself a planner to help stay organized. I went through all of my course schedules and wrote down due dates and reminders for Fall A. Now I have them all in one physical place and have no excuse for forgetting or waiting until the last minute. My mom always encouraged me to use an assignment notebook in middle and high school and now I’m grateful she did!
Time management is also a key element to success with ASU Online. I don’t work on Thursdays, so I am able to focus on school all day. I do my homework throughout the week, but it’s nice to know I have one day designated solely to school work, in case I’m too busy the rest of the week.
My academic advisor has been so helpful and supportive (thanks Linda Sullivan)! I look forward to our calls so much that I called an hour early for our last appointment, but even in the early hours she was extremely helpful with mapping out coursework that would be manageable and keep me on track to graduate on time.
