Funding your education

With tuition transparency, money management tools and personalized support services, you have many options at your fingertips to help plan and fund your education. The most common methods include grants, scholarships, loans, personal funds and employer assistance.

  • Loans and FAFSA. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the gateway to receiving financial assistance and federal student loans. It is recommended to submit your FAFSA even if you feel you will not qualify for aid. Need some guidance when filling out the FAFSA? Review our step-by-step guide.
  • Grants. Grants are a type of aid that doesn’t need to be repaid and are typically awarded to those with exceptional financial need. See what available grants you might qualify for.
  • Scholarships. Scholarships are also awarded aid that doesn’t need to be repaid. They are often based on financial need or merit. Learn what’s needed to apply for scholarships and how to make your application stand out.
  • Employer Assistance. Many employers offer tuition assistance as an employee benefit. Check with your employer to see if they offer tuition reimbursement or provide scholarship opportunities to their employees.

If you’re a transfer student, you can reduce the amount of aid needed by transferring as many eligible credits as possible. You can also take a College-Level Examination Program® (CLEP®) test, which covers material typically taught in the first two years of college. To determine if a CLEP test could help you earn transferable credit, connect with an enrollment coach or your academic advisor.
