How do I know which textbooks I need for my ASU Online courses?
There are two ways to search for the textbooks you need.
First, the campus store makes it easy by allowing you to log in with your ASURITE ID and get a personalized shopping list for your course schedule.
You can also shop by manually entering your course information. Additionally, you have the option of finding your books under your course list on your MyASU page.
Your required course materials may include digital textbooks or software. When purchasing digital textbooks and access codes, make sure to select in-store pickup, even if you don’t live near campus. This ensures you won’t pay a shipping fee. The access code will be emailed to you ready for activation.
When is the best time to get my textbooks?
Look to order your textbooks 2-3 weeks in advance. This is when the majority of books are in stock. If you’re looking to save, more used textbooks are in stock at this time, too. Ordering this far in advance also allows for plenty of time for your book to arrive before the start of class.
How do rental books work?
The campus store makes it easy for ASU Online students to rent textbooks.
You can rent as many as you need for the semester/session. They’ll ship the rental textbooks to your home, and they make it easy to ship back using the shipping carrier of your choice.
Want to extend or purchase your rental? You can do that, too. And, yes, you can even make highlights and mark light notes in your rental textbook as needed.
