They make it easy to buy or rent the textbooks you need. Plus, gear up with them and show your Sun Devil pride with ASU apparel and merch.

Q: How do I know which textbooks I need for my ASU Online courses?

A: There are two ways to search for the textbooks you need.

First, the campus store makes it easy by allowing you to log in with your ASURITE ID and get a personalized shopping list for your course schedule.

You can also shop by manually entering your course information. Additionally, you have the option of finding your books under your course list on your MyASU page.

Your required course materials may include digital textbooks or software. When purchasing digital textbooks and access codes, make sure to select in-store pickup, even if you don’t live near campus. This ensures you won’t pay a shipping fee. The access code will be emailed to you ready for activation.

Q: When is the best time to get my textbooks?

A: Look to order your textbooks 2-3 weeks in advance. This is when the majority of books are in stock. If you’re looking to save, more used textbooks are in stock at this time, too. Ordering this far in advance also allows for plenty of time for your book to arrive before the start of class.

Q: How do rental books work?

A: The campus store makes it easy for ASU Online students to rent textbooks.

You can rent as many as you need for the semester/session. They’ll ship the rental textbooks to your home, and they make it easy to ship back using the shipping carrier of your choice.

Want to extend or purchase your rental? You can do that, too. And, yes, you can even make highlights and mark light notes in your rental textbook as needed.

Visit the campus store’s website for rental details, or watch the video below for more info on the rental process.

Q: Can I sell my textbooks back to the bookstore when I’m done with them?

A: You can! There are two ways to do it:

  • You can sell your textbooks in person by going to any Sun Devil Campus Stores location.
  • You can sell online with ValoreBooks.

Visit the Sun Devils Campus Stores website to learn more about selling your textbooks. You’ll get the details on the selling process, what condition your textbooks will need to be in, how much you can expect to sell them for, a link to selling online, and more.

Q: Can I buy ASU merchandise through the bookstore?

A: Yes! The Sun Devils Campus Stores has an extensive inventory of ASU branded clothing and merchandise you can purchase, including:

  • Desktop and laptop computers, plus a number of other electronics.
  • Gifts such as coffee mugs, home decor and gift cards.
  • School supplies and accessories.
