U.S. News & World Report compiles rankings based on a comprehensive evaluation of more than 1,600 online bachelor’s and master’s degree programs from regionally accredited institutions. Global Impact Rankings 2022

The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings assess universities based on the 17 United Nations’ (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). These rankings compare 1,406 universities from more than 100 countries/regions based on pressing global issues ranging from climate change to access to education.

#1 nationally and #2 internationally for efforts toward UN sustainability goals

In the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, ASU retained the top national spot for the third consecutive year ahead of Michigan State University, Penn State University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and New York University.

Globally, ASU ranked #2 overall ahead of University College London, University of Toronto and University of Queensland. ASU also achieved #1 rankings in three SDGs: sustainable cities and communities, life below water and life on land — as well as #4 in climate action, #6 in eradicating poverty, #7 in clean water and sanitation and #9 in peace, justice and strong institutions.
