The NBA G League Education Program will be in partnership with Arizona State University and Game Plan, a student-athlete development platform.
“We’re immensely proud of our Education Program and are thrilled to partner with ASU and Game Plan to elevate our players now and into the future,” said Malcolm Turner, NBA G League President.
The program provides players with the chance to start or finish their degree through ASU Online’s undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Players may also take courses through ASU’s Global Freshman Academy (Update: Global Freshman Academy is now known as Universal Learner Courses.).
“We are pleased to partner with the NBA G League as part of their Education Program in order to provide its players with a pathway to a quality higher education and degree completion through ASU Online,” said Phil Regier, University Dean for Educational Initiatives and CEO of EdPlus at ASU.
The program will also give players access to Game Plan’s Career Marketplace, which helps athletes transition into careers outside of their experience as pro basketball players.
Whether on or off the court, ASU is committed to helping athletes shoot for success.
