Arizona State University honored with top ranking for most innovative school in the U.S.

The rankings are in, and for the fifth year in a row, U.S. News & World Report named Arizona State University the most innovative school in the nation. This distinguished recognition places ASU as the innovative front runner among 1,500 other higher education institutions.

ASU degree offerings continue to support its innovative culture with over 200 online degree programs that foster innovation and encourage students to push the envelope. From using virtual reality in biology labs to game-based learning while exploring art history, online programs at ASU provides students an opportunity to use cutting edge technology whenever and wherever they are.

ASU students studying online can also access the first available studio-based Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art, digital photography degree while mastering the technical, aesthetic and conceptual aspects of digital photography.

To celebrate, the university is calling on all of its students near and far to recognize this achievement and shared success by sending out virtual ‘high fives’ to their peers on social media by using hashtags #High5ASU and #High5AZ.

Since the innovation category was introduced in 2014, U.S. News and World Report have given the top honor to ASU. The “Most Innovative School” ranking is determined based on survey results from peers in Spring 2019. College presidents, provosts and admissions deans from around the country also nominated up to 15 schools that are making the most innovative improvements to curriculum, faculty, students, campus life, technology or facilities, according to the magazine.
