Literacy education is the process of teaching fundamental reading, writing and other communication skills. Literacy skills are critical to education because they are necessary for learning in every subject area.

This degree will prepare you for a variety of careers in literacy education. Graduates are well equipped for any job focused on designing or teaching literacy programs such as a literacy tutor or reading specialist.
