Phil Regier University Dean for Educational Initiatives and CEO of EdPlus
Phil became the dean of ASU Online in July 2009. He is responsible for guiding Arizona State University’s expansion into online learning and leadership role in education innovation. In five years, ASU Online has grown from 400 to nearly 10,000 students and from six to more than 60 degree programs. The university has received recognition from The New York Times and Bill Gates for its work in adaptive learning and use of data in student advising, as well as earning the top ranking by U.S. News & World Report for online student services and technology. Dean Regier previously served as executive dean at the W.P. Carey School of Business at ASU. He is an accounting faculty member and has published research in leading academic journals on postretirement benefits, corporate restructuring and market-based accounting. Dean Regier earned his undergraduate degree in philosophy and mathematics from St. John’s College and his Ph.D. in accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Patricia Feldman Associate Vice Provost
Patricia serves as Associate Vice Provost at ASU Online and Extended Campus. She manages Continuing Education and Professional Development initiatives; provides oversight of business operations, human resources and special projects; and, ensures university compliance with state and federal regulations for the delivery of online education, as well as online accreditation compliance with the Higher Learning Commission. She earned a B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies and an M.Ed. in Adult and Community Education from Colorado State University; an Ed.D. in Higher Education from Arizona State University; and, certificates in Global, Lifelong and Continuing Education from Harvard University, the University of London and New York University.

Julia Rosen Associate Vice Provost
Julia is responsible for continuing education (non-credit) activities at ASU, for ASU Online’s global outreach, and for the Education Innovation Summit. Prior to ASU Online, she managed several university-wide innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives. Julia also has worked in venture capital and technology-based economic development. Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, she holds an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Bonnie Wuellner Director of Fiscal and Business Operations
Bonnie serves as chief financial officer for ASU Online and Extended Campus. She is responsible for coordinating the business and financial functions across multiple units, including administering the budget and business operations and directing personnel matters such as payroll, recruitment, selection and new hire actions. In addition to her BS in accountancy and a Master’s of Science in information management from Arizona State University, she has more than twenty years of experience in accounting and finance. Before coming to ASU, she worked for Ernst & Young and then spent several years in the banking/finance industry as a financial analyst.

Ryan Chase Assistant Vice President
Ryan is responsible for designated ASU Online assignments. Prior to joining the ASU Online team, he led multiple student affairs departments and organizational initiatives at Rio Salado College, one of the ten Maricopa Community Colleges in the Phoenix metropolitan area. Ryan has an extensive background in the areas of client and staff development, customer relations, change management, student success and higher education compliance. He earned his MBA from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, and his BA from Indiana University-Bloomington.

Melissa Valdez Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Melissa is responsible for ensuring ASU Online's compliance with state and federal regulations for online postsecondary education. Prior to joining the ASU Online team, Melissa worked on the development, publication, course approvals and state regulatory compliance for a growing insurance and securities exam prep company. Within three years, Melissa expanded the company's course offerings into 26 states and wrote study guides of state insurance regulations for Connecticut, Nebraska, South Dakota and Vermont. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from ASU and is currently earning her Master’s degree in Higher and Postsecondary Education, also from ASU.

Christopher BrazilSpecialist for Student Engagement Programs: Starbucks College Achievement Plan, My Community Manager
Christopher is responsible for the management of ASU’s new online social learning network My Community as well as other special student engagement projects. Prior to joining the ASU Online team, Christopher worked at The University of Arizona working with graduate students university-wide at the College of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture. Prior to working at The University of Arizona, Christopher was a high school and middle school teacher in the Tucson area. Christopher has his BA in Psychology with a minor in Classical Studies from The University of Arizona and an M.Ed. in Secondary Education from University of Phoenix.

Dale Johnson Business Analyst, Sr.
Dale is a program manager at ASU Online who has been working in higher ed for over 20 years in a variety of roles. He currently works collaboratively with faculty and instructional designers to develop new general education courses. Dale earned his BS in design at Arizona State University and a Master’s in public policy from Harvard University.

Carlos ValcarcelResearch Analyst Assistant
Carlos Valcarcel is a Research Analyst Assistant for ASU Online. In May 2014 he earned a BA in mathematics from Arizona State, he also holds a BS in Economics, a BA in History and a graduate certificate in Statistics. He has been doing research for the Center for Environmental Economics and Sustainability Policy since 2011. While doing research and attending ASU, he worked as a web developer for the University Technology Office. Carlos is an experienced programmer, speaks 3 languages and intends to pursue a Phd in Economics.

Lynsi Freitag Director
Lynsi is responsible for high-priority, special assignments for ASU Online and Extended Campus. She has an extensive background in higher education, having worked in a variety of marketing, operations, and strategic roles for Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and ASU’s W. P. Carey School of Business. She has also consulted for both public and private institutions of higher education. Before entering higher ed, she worked in the marketing department of the Los Angeles Times and, before that, for a high-tech public relations firm. Lynsi holds degrees from the University of San Diego and Duke University.

Christian FullerBusiness Analyst
Christian is a business analyst and project manager who has been working in higher education for nearly a decade. He is responsible for monitoring enrollment and student services operations as well as project managing strategic vendor relations. Prior to joining the ASU Online team, Christian worked at Apollo Global as a Sr. Program Manager. In this role, he led numerous projects and initiatives such as process improvement, training, student services, enrollment services and system implementation and optimization. Christian earned his Bachelor's Degree in business at Instituto Tecnológico de Sonora in Cd. Obregón, Sonora, México and completed his MBA at the University of Phoenix.

Casey Ambrose Director of Marketing and Communications
Casey Ambrose leads the Marketing and Communications team, responsible for all brand awareness, marketing, public relations and corporate partnerships for ASU Online programs. Her expertise on brand building, messaging and story telling through student experiences is contributing to ASU Online’s rapid growth. Casey works closely with key strategic external partners, like Pearson, as well as internal departments and Colleges within ASU to ensure all consumer and business-to-business marketing efforts for online programs are integrated into the overall ASU brand.

Courtney McCune Content Strategist and Communications Specialist
Courtney focuses on web content strategy, writing and other marketing initiatives with the ASU Online marketing and communications team. Carrie is responsible for communications and media relations strategies for ASU Online. Alan Fisher Director of Executive/Industry Relations
Alan comes to ASU Online from Intel Corporation where he led the Accelerated Leadership Program and the global Extended Education team. Prior to Intel he worked for the Apollo Group/University of Phoenix in business development, enrollment and leadership development. Prior to ASU, she served as Director of Marketing and Business Strategy for an international agency in the health sector; Director of Corporate Marketing for a global high tech leader in the field of satellite communications; and Senior Manager of Recruitment and Admissions for ASU’s W. P. Carey MBA Program. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business with an emphasis in Marketing from ASU’s W.P. Carey School of Business and a Master’s Degree in Science in Business Management from Boston University.

Elisha Fiore Corporate Partnerships: California
Elisha Fiore brings over 15 years of sales experience in medical devices and pharmaceuticals to ASU Online, where she is responsible for developing corporate partnerships in Southern California. In addition, she also serves on the Board of Directors for the ASU Alumni Association-LA Chapter and a 15-year active volunteer with the Junior League of Los Angeles.

Mario Matus Online Coordinator, Sr.
Mario is an ASU alum with 5 years of experience in the online higher education industry and over 15 years of experience in customer service and logistics. He is a proud Sun Devil who works to enhance the ASU student experience by working with the enrollment and student success teams. Mario uses his experience as an academic advisor and enrollment supervisor to address the needs of both current and prospective ASU students. Dari Bradley Coordinator, Sr.
As part of ASU Online’s student services team, Dari Bradley works with students and partners to enrich their experience through superior service. Robert Behnke Multimedia Developer
With interests spanning many creative disciplines, Robert has worked in video production, graphic design, and photography. He has been working in higher education for 13 years in various multimedia positions. He been a guest lecturer in Final Cut Pro or Photoshop workshops and has also trained designers in old school press printing techniques. One of his claims to fame is quickly compositing a photo used for Jeff Daniel's film, Escanaba in Da Moonlight. Robert earned his BA from Grand Valley State University with a dual major in English Literature Creative Writing and Film Production. He has also studied Nutrition at the University of Arizona and currently holds many certifications in the fitness industry.

Michelle Lanier Multimedia Developer
Michelle Lanier is a digital media artist, journalist, and filmmaker. She believes that storytelling is the quintessential element of human existence. Michelle earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Visual Effects and Motion Graphics and a Master of Arts degree in New Media Journalism. Some of her personal achievements include having her footage and face featured on two episodes of Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations (Saudi Arabia and Philippines) and a front page featured video on CNN’s IReport that received over 20,000 views in 2 days.

With a passion for art and design, Frank earned his BA in Media Arts & Animation from The Art Institute of Phoenix. Margaret Wells Instructional Designer, Sr.
Maggie comes to ASU Online with over 10 years of experience in the higher education industry with instructional design, training, and project management in various roles. In her role at ASU Online, she partners with faculty/subject matter experts to create high-quality continuing education courses based on performance-based objectives. Shelly Ross Instructional Designer
Before embarking on her journey here at ASU, Shelly gained experience in the area of course design and development for courses taught online and in blended learning environments. She also has a background in web design and has taught many web development courses that apply active learning methods to effectively support students during their process of learning. Shelly has received her Master’s degree in Educational Technology from Northern Arizona University, furthering her knowledge on successful techniques used when utilizing innovative technologies to enhance the teaching and learning experience.

Yuna Buhrman Instructional Designer, Sr.
Yuna Buhrman has been involved in the e-learning field for almost 15 years. During this time, she has had various roles ranging from instructional designer to project team leader. Recently, she managed the search, purchase and implementation of a new Learning Management System for an international non-profit organization. Yuna’s favorite part of being a senior instructional designer is the opportunity to fuse cutting edge technology with sound instructional principles to create engaging and interactive learning content that sticks with the student. Her work with offshore international teams has given her a global perspective on design and collaboration, and she considers herself very lucky to have learned from the best while working at such places as ThomsonNetG and Pearson. Yuna holds an MS in Instructional Design and Technology from Walden University, and an MS in Electronic Engineering Technology from Arizona State University.

Andrew Salcido Instructional Designer
Andrew has worked in varying roles in education throughout the course of his career, including being an elementary school educator, educational technology trainer, government training specialist, and a technology integration specialist. In his roles relating to technology education, he assisted in designing and implementing a variety of technology initiatives using in-class and online training strategies, providing support for on-going educational technology programs, and training educators in various aspects of 21st century teaching techniques. Obiageli Sneed Instructional Designer
Over the past decade, Obiageli has had many years of experience working in the field of education. She received her Master’s degree in Educational Technology from Arizona State University's West Campus. Her professional experiences include working as a teacher in the K-12 environment in the Phoenix Metropolitan area in which she assisted colleagues with the incorporation of technology into their classrooms; working as an Education Program Specialist overseeing 33 school districts' Title I and Migrant Education Programs for the Arizona Department of Education; as well as, an Instructional Specialist/Researcher for the ASU College of Nursing and Health Innovation. Through multiple platforms, Obiageli has demonstrated her passion, dedication, and joy for teaching and helping others to effectively learn!

Mary Chaaban Instructional Designer
Mary Chaaban has worked in varying roles in the field of education over the past ten years. Her experience includes writing an online standard-based French course, aligning curriculum to state and national standards, and designing and developing traditional and online curriculum at the secondary and post-secondary level. Mary throughly enjoys working with faculty and multimedia specialists to co-create high-quality courses that will meet students learning needs and enhance students' learning experience. Sean HobsonAssistant Vice President

Irma Sandercock Instructional Designer
As an instructional designer, Irma works with faculty to design pedagogically sound courses. She seeks to infuse technology into teaching and learning at the university level, creating collaborative learning experiences in virtual learning environments. Current projects include the redesign of general education courses and course quality initiatives. Prior to coming to ASU nine years ago, Irma served as a master teacher and professional development specialist in elementary and special education classrooms, working with low-income and ELL student populations, as well as mentoring educators in the use of educational technology. A life-long Sun Devil, Irma holds a BA in Elementary Education from ASU and a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from Chapman University.

Robert Kilman Instructional Designer
Robert brings a range of design and analysis skills to the ASU Online team to help create innovative learning experiences. Before joining ASU Online, Robert has served in various positions at ASU since 2004. He was the technology analyst for the Leadership for Educational Entrepreneurs graduate program, multimedia producer for the Applied Learning Technologies Institute and instructional technologist and instructional designer for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. He has also served as faculty at both the university and community college level. Robert has an undergraduate degree in mathematics from Texas Tech University and a interdisciplinary masters focused on digital methods from Arizona State University.

Brian Tokarski Management Research Analyst, Sr.
Brian Tokarski is a Management Research Analyst, Sr. for the ASU Online's Data Analysis and Evaluation team. He is responsible for providing data to other departments to help support them in reaching their goals, as well as research and reporting. Prior to joining ASU Online, Brian worked as an investment banker for Merrill Lynch and as a grant and contract manager at the University of Arizona. He holds a Bachelor's degree in environmental and political science as well as a Master’s degree in public administration, both from the University of Arizona.

Simon Bauer-Leffler Management Research Analyst
Simon Bauer-Leffler is a Management Research Analyst for ASU Online. He primarily works with data from the ASU Online partnership with Starbucks. Previously he has worked at ASU analyzing data for a Mary Lou Fulton Teacher College teacher preparation program. He has also worked as a survey researcher for the Schaffer Center for Public Policy and a recidivism data analyst for the WV Division of Justice and Community Services. Simon earned his BS in Sociology from University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and MS and Ph.D. in Sociology from Purdue University.

Steven Ramuz Assistant Research Analyst
As a research analyst for ASU's Data Analysis and Evaluation team, Steven is responsible for the creation and maintenance of data queries and reports used for both internal and external purposes. Born and raised in Arizona, Steven is a proud ASU alumnus who graduated from the Hugh Downs School of Human Communication, in 2011, with a B.S. in Communication. Steven bleeds Maroon and Gold and loves working for and giving back to the University that has given him so much.
